Marc Gottschalk – Partner – Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Co-Founder – Cleantech Open
Marc Gottschalk is a partner in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's real estate and environmental practice and is co-chair of the firm's energy and environmental technology practice, focusing on emerging alternative energy companies and companies with environmentally beneficial technologies. Marc also assists clean tech companies with advice on getting established and building their businesses including a number of Clean Tech Open alumni. He is very much looking forward to seeing them grow up and hopes they will not be too much trouble in their teenage years.

Rebeca Hwang
Rebeca is the Judging Chair and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleantech Open. She serves as an advisor to the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students and as a Senior Advisor for the MIT 100K Clean Energy Prize. Her passion is to find solutions to pressing problems in the world, particularly those related to improving access to safe water by poor communities in developing countries. Rebeca was the winner of the MIT IDEAS competition for work with ceramic water filters and a finalist in the MIT 100K Competition with a business plan for a low-cost chlorine generator. Her Ph.D. thesis at Stanford University is based on the role of social network structures on the performance of water companies. She graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering from M.I.T. She holds three US patents (6 929 236, 6 935190 and 6 929235).

Leslie Murdock, Murdick Martell, Co-Founder
Leslie has been a pioneer in providing financial advisory consulting services to Silicon Valley companies. He is currently co-founder of Murdock Martell, Inc. a finance and accounting services firm. Previously he was founder of Murdock & Associates / Horn Murdock Cole, which he sold to a private equity firm and is now known as Accretive Solutions. Prior to Murdock & Associates, Leslie held several positions with Ernst & Young in Silicon Valley and Dublin, Ireland.
He serves on the Board of Acterra, the Cleantech Open and the The Irish Literary & Historical Society and is past-President of both the San Jose/Dublin Sister City Program and the San Jose Conservation Corps. Leslie has passed the CPA exam is also a Chartered Accountant.

Laurent Pacalin, FICO, SVP & Chief Marketing Officer
Laurent Pacalin is SVP and Chief Marketing Officer at FICO, the leader in Decision Management and Predictive Analytics. He was previously running the Enterprise CRM business unit at Siebel Systems (an $800M P&L) where he designed and rolled-out a very customer centric approach to product requirement identification and delivery that led to the fastest ever customer adoption rate for the company. Prior to that Laurent was VP Americas Marketing at Oracle Corporation and held senior management positions at two successful start-ups, Blue Martini Software – an ecommerce vendor - and Corio -the software on-demand pioneer. Throughout his career, he has been a recognized leader in his ability to leverage new technologies to improve the customer experience and adoption rate of new products. Laurent holds a MS in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
As a co-founder and board member of the California Cleantech Open, he is very proud of what the team has accomplished in establishing the Cleantech Open as the premier business plan competition in the world, accelerating the growth of a low-carbon and more sustainable economy.

Patrick Stanton, OPower, Client Solutions
Patrick works on the Client Solutions team at Washington, DC based OPower (formerly Positive Energy), a leading energy efficiency and smart grid software company that leverages behavioral science to drive large-scale reductions in residential energy usage. Prior to joining OPower, Patrick ran his own business development and consulting firm, Elcade LLC and served as vice president of business development for The Cobalt Group, a $300 million automotive enterprise software and Internet marketing company. Patrick is a founder of the Cleantech Open, and served as its Sponsor Chair for several years. Patrick holds a BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Patrick lives near Washington, DC with his family.
