- If your idea beats out the competition in your National Competition, you get to represent your country as a Global Ideas finalist at the annual Cleantech Open Global Forum on November 8 and 9, 2012 in San Jose.
There, your idea will be presented in a five-minute pitch in front of a crowd of 1,000 investors, entrepreneurs, sponsoring companies, corporations, members of academia, press, and others interested in hearing your ideas and getting involved.
A judging panel of cleantech experts, investors and entrepreneurs will select the winning team. You could win marketing support, legal advising, conferencing services and more to help launch your business!
New for 2012 – For the first time this year, we are running a sub-competition specifically aimed at young cleantech entrepreneurs between the ages of 10 and 24. The Cleantech Open Global Youth Competition is a search for big ideas from the net generation of cleantech entrepreneurs that address today’s most urgent energy, environmental and economic challenges. Importantly, this new competition inspires young entrepreneurs to not only tackle key energy, environmental and economic issues but to specifically devise sustainable businesses ideas that could generate much-needed jobs for young people. The Global Youth competition utilizes the same hosts, processes and tools as the Global Ideas Competition but with specific age requirements and judging criteria.
