Emerging Technologies Program
The Emerging Technologies Program champions collaboration among our "Cleantech Innovators" and facilitates catalyzing clean technologies. The Emerging Technologies Program goals are:
- To help build lasting relationships and partnerships within the cleantech research, entrepreneurial, commercial, and venture capital community
- To spur thought leadership on clean technology
- To provide program sponsors direct access to relevant, innovative new technologies
The Emerging Technologies program has different tracks for partners and sponsors:
Emerging Technologies Partners include national research organizations, laboratories, universities, and incubators, as well as leading public and private organizations that research, foster and build clean technologies. Partners have access to contestants in a single category and may be invited to participate in:
- Category-Specific Judging: providing technical expertise and perspective on the feasibility and science of each entrant in a given category.
- Category-Specific Mentoring: interaction with contestants in a particular category as part of the mentor program
Emerging Technologies Sponsors have access to contestants in all categories and receive special benefits, as follows:
- Referral: The Cleantech Open will fast track involvement of companies referred to the competition by emerging technology sponsors; this provides sponsors with a mechanism for companies they consider of technical interest ‘not quite ready' for their own programs.
- Broadcast: The Open will broadcast your technology requirements through our Website, newsletter, blogs, Breakfast Briefings, Symposia, Thought Leader Summit and other events.
- Access and Evaluation: Promising technologies that potentially meet your needs will be brought to your attention. As sponsor, you will have the following opportunities to evaluate companies and technologies of interest:
- Through your online account, access to all Executive Summaries in all categories for all of this year's contestants, and previous years' alumni.
- Invitations to meet all interesting/relevant contestants and alumni for in-person – either at a Cleantech Open event, or on your premises
- The option to set up a showcase of interesting technologies on your premises for your colleagues, customers or other technology partners.
