Sereno Solar
Building-integrated solar water heating panelsSereno Solar has developed a new innovative "invisible" solar water heating panel which is installed under the standard roofing (or siding) material. The new solar water heating panel when compared to commercially available glazed or unglazed panels is lower in cost, lighter weight, more aesthetically pleasing (completely hidden from view) and longer lasting. Homeowners and architects can incorporate the new hidden panel without fear of disturbing the architectural integrity or aesthetics of the home design, leading to greater acceptance in the marketplace. The innovative panel can be used to heat water for use in domestic hot water systems, pools and radiant heating systems. Furthermore, the panels are designed to keep the roof cooler. Thus, energy usage for air conditioning will be reduced and the lifetime of roofing materials will be increased. Additionally, a version of the new panel can be paired with photovoltaic panels or tiles. This pairing leads to more efficient and longer lifetime photovoltaics - all while producing hot water for pool or domestic use.
