Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) Symposium

July 12, 2011, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM PDT

The Technology Resource Incubator Outreach (TRIO) Symposium is a new statewide initiative by the members of the Emerging Technologies Coordinating Council (ETCC) designed to accelerate market introduction of energy efficient products and services by providing information, training, and access to energy utility resources. TRIO’s goal is to promote early stage innovations that will contribute to California’s energy savings targets for the future, as well as meeting national goals for energy efficiency.

Symposium participants will learn how to leverage utility involvement in emerging energy efficiency technologies and meet data requirements for technology assessments, as well as gaining perspective and documentation needed to work with energy utilities such as PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, SoCal Gas and SMUD

The symposium agenda will cover key topics including:

  • Leveraging utility programs to drive market adoption and sales
  • Regulatory drivers such as loading order and decoupling, and why they’re important to investors, entrepreneurs and researchers
  • The role of demand response (DR) and integrated demand side management (IDSM).
  • How investors can use utility company resources to assess opportunities.
  • Leveraging existing energy efficiency partnerships with California uiversities, national labs, energy utilities, and the investment community

This free event is a must attend for key stakeholders including investors, entrepreneurs, technology transfer officers, researchers, and other professionals who are creating the future for intelligent use of cost-effective energy efficient technologies in California.
